Billinda's wedding!!

Im really looking forward to doing billinda's wedding flowers, i cant wait to see it all come together thats the exciting bit when you see dress's, the suits, the whole bridal party.
I choose a rose called metallica for billinda's bridal bouquet, i havn't worked with it before and i only ever seen it in magazines, they are expensive but worth it!! Just look at the fabulous colour, very elegant, and a little different from the normal ivory rose. Cant wait to make her bouquet now!!

Today I recycled some of my Bridal farye designs, & made these lovely vintage designs!! I really want to do a vintage wedding with all the trimmings!!

Country Chic

Alot of brides to be loved this style, as its so simple, the different textures make it wonderfully exciting to look at.

Our table centre to match also created alot of attention, its a bit quirky and different & very eye catching.

This modern bouquet is just so stunning, the orchids really speak for them selves perfect for a bride with a modern style.

Fish bowls and mirrors are so simple yet effective!!

Wow the bridal Fayre was amazing, Beautiful location at Gosford castle, fab marquee, and loads of lovely people to chat to!!

Busy Busy Busy........

Bridal Fayre Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!............

 Iv been so obsessed with flowers that iv left eveything else eg, props & photo's to the last minute!! so i have one day to go buy all my flowers, make them into stunning examples of my work (thats the easy bit) and also i have to get some images burned unto a disc, get some printed.

Id thought about doing some mood boards on each theme, which would entail some fun cutting & sticking from magazine etc....... umm il see about that one.

R.J. Farrell Specialist Joinery were supposed to make me a vanity screen, but at present it doesnt seem to have materialised yet??? Thats one more thing on the to do list!!

I would love an easle to hold a large image in a frame, but unless i happen to stumble on one of those today, (the chances are slim i know) i dont think that will be happening!!!

I love the wild look of  this lovely arrangements, white avalance roses, vendella roses & spray roses, & Ammi.

Gosford castle wedding farye

Iv been so busy with wedding planning, not mine of course but three brides-to-be wedding flowers. Each of them is so different, which is exciting and confusing when ordering, i have to be so careful when ordering the flowers!!!

Getting married northern ireland are hosting a bridal fayre in gosford castle next thursday, as its my first ever im super excited, iv thought of 3-4 different themes to do samples of. And also il be bringing along some of my bay trees etc which are available to hire. I feel it's important for the bride-to-be to  get to see and hold a bouquet,picture just dont have the same effect!!

So for my themes im doing VINTAGE, which is all the rage these days, it'l be very easy to achieve as my shop is a living homage to vintage chic!!

ULTRA-MODERN which again is a favourite of mine because simple lines and bold exciting flowers can really make such an impact!

And big decisions i didin't know to go ELEGANT GLAMOUR or COUNTRY CHIC. Elegant glamour is simple and safe, which (although i always try to presuade them otherwise) is what a lot of brides want!! Id be using white roses, maybe teamed with black, ribbon & beads etc.

Country chic on the other hand is an up and comming trend to rival vintage, its more natural, earthy and has a looser stlye, id be using wild looking flowers, vivid colours and single stems in a loose hand tie.

Awh.........the dilema!!

Angela's Bouquet, of Coloumbian roses.

The bridesmaids dresses were so different and colourful. I love how the colour of the roses really compliment the dresses!!

Angela made her own wedding dress which she finished last night at 11.30 pm!!

And a lovely job she did too!!

Phew!!!

Wedding work is finished, orders are done for tomorrow, and im now relaxing with a cup of tea!!

Im very excited to see the wedding tomorrow, thankfully everything turned out ok and despite being to late to order flowers from holland i managed to get my hands on the coloumbian roses i wanted.

Your wedding is when????!!!!!!

Imagine my surprise when i was approached by a bride to be today, who asked could i do her wedding flowers next thursday!!! well not one to turn down a challenge i said yes. Luckliy the lovely lady had a good idea what she wanted and from the picture she was able to show me we came up with a boho theme!! Which i love!! bright clashy vibrate colours. Im really excited about it!! Watch out for blog posts next thursday!!

I bought these Jam jars of Ebay (love Ebay) well not really with this idea in mind, but just look how cute!! Alovely Easter gift for some one and only £5!!! Very country chic!!!

Hello!!!!

Well thank you very much for following me!!! I intend this blog to be a creative outlet for me and the shop, it'll give you a little insight to the life of a florist maybe!

April is a very busy month for me, its only been 7 months months since i opened the shop and im plesed i have my first bridal fayre this month and 3 weddings in close proximity to each other!!! I have a feeling i have set myself for a stressful few days later this month!!! but i just love doing weddings, how could i refuse the lovely brides-to-be i meet!!!
